ARC ONE: MAIN STORY SUMMARY

Shadowstar, the young and traumatised leader of MoltenClan, fell into the manipulative paws of the Shattered Path spirit Scorpionstar. This resulted in the exile of his childhood best friend, Calamitypaw, who fled with his mate Mangledrose and their family after Shadowstar had a painful seizure and begged them to leave. Never able to escape from Scorpionstar's presence, he went to Mossstar of TwistedClan for answers, who was then possessed by Scorpionstar through an experiment and became Splitstar. TwistedClan and MoltenClan began forming an alliance, roping Badgerstorm, Deputy of TropicalClan, into it and manipulating him into killing his leader Redstar. The allegiance was formed, titled ShatteredClan.ShatteredClan drove the cats of BogClan and CoralClan out of their camps. As Flystar of BogClan and her deputy Frogfreckle worked with Lagoonstar of CoralClan, they were inspired by TropicalClan apprentice Emeraldpaw to rebel against ShatteredClan. At a Gathering, Splitstar murdered Captain of the Sea Souls, which led to Badgerstar breaking away from ShatteredClan and joining the Rebellion.The ShatteredClan warriors seized Rebellion cats - Shroompaw, Emeraldpaw, and Rainbowkit. Flystar attempted to win them back in a deal, but was then captured. In a life-threatening conflict with the powerful Splitstar, Shadowstar made a last minute decision. As he was exiled from MoltenClan, he rescued Calamitypath's kit from captivity, with the other prisoners following behind. Very few cats held trust in Shadowstar, but Flystar granted him a new name - Shadowthorn.Thanks to Shadowthorn's valuable insight, the Rebels hatched a plan to ambush ShatteredClan in MoltenClan's camp. The battle was merciless, and Lynxflame - Medicine cat of BogClan - was lost in the fight, telling her apprentice Strawberrypaw how proud she was of her in her last breath. In an act of self-sacrifice, Shadowthorn attacked Splitstar, taking in Scorpionstar's spirit and then dying by the paws of his mate Hollowspark, killing Scorpionstar at the same time. Mossstar returned to consciousness, and TwistedClan returned to the facility that they came from.Now, the Clans are recovering from the war. They're mourning their losses and celebrating their victories, but ominous powers are beginning to show themselves.
